We are expected to grow in spirit and in wisdom as we grow physically. The apostle Paul prays for us and reminds us of the power that we have through Jesus life, death, and resurrection as Christians.

It's not always easy to understand how we should and can become spiritually mature unless we read and study the Bible and pray. Ephesians 1: 1-23 gives a thorough understanding of this through the apostle Paul prayers and revelation. It takes time, focus, energy, motivation, and a will heart, soul, and spirit. Ephesians 1:18 makes it clear, "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches to his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the might strength 20 she exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at the right hand in heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come" (NIV).

He includes thankfulness, wisdom, and understanding. Grace, peace, and blessings to all.
