If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10 (NIV).

Here I go again. Will my mistakes ever end? One minute I’m up; the next I’m down. It seems I keep going around and around.

I thank God for making a way by sending his Son Jesus to die on the cross and raising him up again for the lost.

Now, if I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart, I am saved.

I must also repent (turn from my evil ways) and confess my sin (wrongdoing) to God.

God will forgive me and clean me up.
